I've been doing "TOSW" for a long time, but the more writing I'm doing
about the project, the more I recognize the value in OSW as being
distinctive and easier to work with grammatically.
What do you think?
Regardless, I still want to get twitter.com/tosw if we can find the
friend in Toronto who has that account from 2009.

I think anyone outside of the project might benefit from a more descriptive
acronym, as (T)OSW is kind of vague. What if we used just "OpenSourceWay",
slightly longer but more obvious of what it is? Or is it too long to be
practical? Maybe not?

In the cases where the acronym is going to be used, it would be spelled
out first e.g. "the Open Source Way (OSW) community said ..."
Basically, people do this anyway, so the idea is to make our best
choice/recommendation.

I'm partial to [A], because it allows for more flexibility when
referring to the initiative in various ways:
- "I am writing this for the Open Source Way guidebook."
- "I'm joining the Open Source Way community."
- "Let me tell you about the Open Source Way project."
... and so on.

I forget where the habit came from, it may have been from making a
shorthand acronym out of the domain name, i.e., theopensourceway.org is
to tosw.o as redhat.com is to rh.c.
I think since it's really only me that has been doing it and I'm now
quite happy to change for all the reasons others have articulated here,
looks like we may be at consensus?
And hey, I appreciate this spare attenton on the small stuff. I spend
_a_lot_ of time writing about this project, having an acronym is a boon
to me. ;)
